What blend of skills, passion and wisdom makes a successful “Proposal Chimera”? A powerful combination of Bid Manager, Proposal Writer and Knowledge Specialist.

In our session at the APMP UK Conference 2016 on Thursday, 20th October at 14:45, we will show how we identified a model for a hybrid proposal team, fusing together APMP professionals with unique individual attributes, backgrounds and preferences to achieve a winning blend of professionalism, pragmatism, and innovation.

“Proposal Chimera: A Squash-playing Bid Manager with a Science background and 20 years in the IT industry”

Presented from the perspective of the team leader and a team member, we will share our experience of building and evolving an international proposal centre with a proposal team that is more than the sum of its parts. We will delve progressively deeper into the structure, service, and people of a successful, hybrid proposal centre.

“There are many bid and proposal job titles and roles with multiple competencies complementing each other within individuals and across the team.”

We believe the strength of our team is in the blend of its individual members, so we will dissect the diverse experience, style, background and personalities of the team, which is bound together by a central core of a shared philosophy, purpose and language.

“Proposal Chimera: Rock drummer with a coding background, defence industry tendering experience, and a passion for building highly-acclaimed proposal centres”

Join me and Darrell Woodward as we take you on a journey from the genesis and evolution of our team to the individual personalities of our people and from ancient mythology to the neurochemistry of a bid professional.
